3. What experience does a NestWell professional need?
Our standard requires candidates to have a minimum of five years of professional experience relevant to the position for which they are being considered.
We focus on experienced, career-level professionals who understand the responsibility that comes with working in a private family home.
4. How does NestWell screen candidates?
Every professional in our network is held to our NestWell vetting standards before being presented to a family.
Our process includes:
Verification of professional experience
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Comprehensive background screening
Completion of our 70-question professional assessment
Professional reference verification
Phone and/or video conversations with references
Our goal is to look beyond the résumé and understand the candidate's experience, professionalism, communication style, and overall suitability.
5. Do you verify professional references?
Yes. We conduct direct phone and/or video conversations with professional references.
References are also required to complete a formal verification form. This allows us to gain a more complete understanding of the candidate's work history, reliability, responsibilities, and experience working with families.
6. What is the Search Activation Fee?
The Search Activation Fee begins the recruitment process specifically for your family. It covers the time and resources involved in sourcing, interviewing, screening, and verifying candidates based on your family's specific needs.
Regular Price: $195
Current Special: $97.50
The Search Activation Fee is non-refundable once your family profile has been created.
7. When does the search officially begin?
Your search officially begins once your Family Intake Form has been completed and the Search Activation Fee has been received.
Our goal is to move quickly while maintaining NestWell's high standards. In most cases, families can expect to receive their Top 10 candidate matches within 24–48 hours of search activation.
For families with urgent childcare needs, rush searches may be available upon request. Depending on the complexity of the search, candidate availability, and specific requirements, some searches may take up to 72 hours.
8. Can I cancel my ongoing service and receive a refund?
Yes. Refunds apply only to eligible ongoing service fees and are based on when the cancellation is requested.
Within 24 hours of purchase: Eligible for a 100% refund of the ongoing service fee.
Within 7 days of purchase: Eligible for a 70% refund of the ongoing service fee.
After 14 days: Refunds are generally not issued because ongoing recruitment, sourcing, and support services may already be underway.
After 30 days: No refunds will be issued for ongoing service fees.
Please note: Family intake fees, Search Activation Fees, and background screening fees are non-refundable once the applicable service or screening process has begun.
9. What if the first candidate isn't the right fit?
Finding the right person is about more than checking boxes. If a candidate doesn't feel like the appropriate match for your family, we encourage you to share your feedback with us.
Our team can review your concerns and determine the appropriate next steps based on your search and service agreement.
Replacement searches may be offered at the sole discretion of NestWell, depending on the circumstances and applicable service terms.
10. Does paying the Search Activation Fee guarantee that I will hire a candidate?
No. The Search Activation Fee covers the search and recruitment process, including sourcing and vetting candidates according to your family's needs.
Payment of the fee does not guarantee the hiring of a particular candidate or guarantee that a placement will occur.
Our goal is to present qualified professionals who meet your search criteria so that you can make the final decision about who is the right fit for your family.
